Fall Anime 2018
Hello, everyone! Soooo…my anime slump has gotten so much worse. I-I’m not even joking it’s so bad. I looked back on the last anime list I made for the summer season and I realized…I ONLY WATCHED 2 SHOWS FROM MY LIST!!! T^T I don’t know how that happened! Honestly, it was hard to keep up with just these two shows (Free! and Cells at Work) alone. Don’t get me wrong, those shows were great! I actually really enjoyed them, but I guess it’s been hard to start any new shows, especially since I was working during the summer and just started grad school in August. It’s sad to see that my slump is getting worse and worse as time goes on, but I’m hoping to turn this around with the FALL ANIME SEASON!
Here are the shows that I am planning on watching:
- Sword Art Online: Alicization
Hey, as much as some people hate SAO, I’m looking forward to this arc in the story. Plus, Nobunaga Shimazaki and Ai Kayano are voicing the new characters!!!
- Tokyo Ghoul: re Season 2
OH MAAAAANNNN! I’m so excited for this one…I just need to finish the first season before then hehehehehe.
- Irozuku Sekai no Ashita kara
The animation for this one looks sooo pretty. I’m excited to see how magic plays a role in this romance anime.
- Yagate Kimi ni Naru
A yuri anime that doesn’t look like it’s full of smut and fan service? SIGN ME UP!
- Kishuku Gakkou no Juliet
Wow I haven’t watched an anime based off of Romeo and Juliet since…well, RomeoxJuliet. LOL! I can’t wait to see Yuuki Ono play the male lead in this one.
- Tsurune: Kazemai Koukou Kyuudoubu
I’ve been keeping my eye on this one ever since I read the premise for this show last year and I’m really happy it’s premiering this season. And since it’s produced by Kyoto Animation I have to watch it!
- Dakaretai Otoko 1-ni Odosarete Imasu
It’s a yaoi anime. Need I say more???
- Kaze ga Tsukyoku Fuiteiru
The PV and character designs gave me Haikyuu!! vibes. I guess that makes sense since it’s produced by Production I.G. haha! The opening by Unison Square Garden already sounds dope! Looking forward to this one!
- Sono Toki, Kanojo wa
This was a last minute addition to the list but as a female college student on the verge of becoming a working adult the premise appealed to me.
- Hashiri Tsuzukete Yokattatte
This is another last minute addition! (Like I need anymore shows to watch HAHAAHAHA) The premise sounded interesting and Jun Fukuyama plays the lead!
Ongoing:
- Banana Fish
This show previously wasn’t on my summer anime list. But @perfectlynorm convinced me to watch this with him and @passionateflame sometime after AX and all I can say is…WHAT HAVE I DONE??? I LOVE this show…buuuut I know it’s going to wreck me in the end. T^T Fellow Banana Fish fans, let’s cry together when the time comes!
- Attack on Titan 3
THIS IS ON MY CATCH UP LIST!!! I PROMISE!
Looking back on this list, I realize that I may not be able to keep up with all of these shows. My brain is telling me, “Yukari-sensei, why are you adding more shows to your pile of shows THAT YOU STILL NEED TO WATCH??? YOU HAVE A LIFE TO LIVE!!!” I know that I’m probably asking a lot from myself and that I’ll probably won’t even touch some of these as I continue to get busy with school and everything, but I’m still an otaku at heart. I still love watching anime and fangirling and feeling so many emotions for fictional characters. This won’t change for years to come! I want to get out of this anime slump!
Anyway, let me know if there are any shows I overlooked or if you’re excited for any of the shows I listed here! I’m really happy there are people out there who like these silly anime lists I post! I have a lot to catch up on but I’m staying optimistic! Thanks for reading!
